a guy goes into a shop and bot a gift for RM21. the cost price of this gift is RM18. the guy paid for the gift with a RM100 note. the shopkeeper did not have change,so went to change it with next door neighbour.
later,it was realized tat the rm100 note was a fake.
so,in the end what was the lost incurred by the shop keeper?
Technically he makes a profit as he would have given the fake 100RM note to his next door neighbour in exchange for 100RM in smaller notes which would have been real money meaning he would have made the 3RM on the deal as per normal
however if he took other notes such as 2 real 50RM notes to his neighbour he would have lost a total of 100 RM and the item itself which would mean 118RM
